Our Passion

Bluegrass Tavern is a classic neighborhood restaurant in South Baltimore featuring a contemporary American menu and an eclectic wine list and cocktails. From the moment you step through the front door, the woods, rich greens and floor to ceiling windows creates a soothing yet airy feeling. Both floors feature a bar and a dining room.
Chef Antonio Rice realized his passion for the Culinary Arts at an early age. Chef Rice Graduated from our very own Baltimore International Culinary College in 1997 with a degree in Professional cooking and baking. Over the years he has worked in several different restaurants including Kali’s and Classic Catering People perfecting his craft. Chef Rice’s ability to elevate southern comfort food to a new level of flavor and sophistication has made him a hit here in Baltimore. His flavor creations stay true to the classics but also reflect his ability to make the ordinary extraordinary!
Bluegrass is located at 1500 Hanover Street at the bustling intersection of Hanover and Fort Avenue.

"My gosh, I cannot even begin to tell you how thrilled we were with our experience here. We absolutely loved everything about it. Our drinks were just delicious. Even if you're not a fan of whiskey, the beer and wine selection is also top-notch. However, THE FOOD IS TO DIE FOR! We got the fried chicken, the spicy fried chicken, and the spare ribs; and there was not one dish that did not blow us away. This place is an absolute must!"
